„Jau dvidešimt metų kasmet tuo pačiu laiku pasipila skundai, žurnalistų skambučiai su klausimu – kodėl tiek daug dumblių? Kas užteršė jūrą? Bet jei mes neterštume be saiko, taikytume apsaugos priemones ten, kur tai įmanoma, mirusių zonų joje būtų mažiau ir to paties klausimo kasmet nereiktų uždavinėti“, – mintimis dalijosi E. Paplauskis.
Jis papasakojo apie vieną priežastį – ūkininkus, grūdininkus, rapsininkus, kurie cheminėmis priemonėmis tręšia laukus ir niokoja gamtą.
„Deja, deja, žmonės neretai dėl savo godumo springsta. Kai sakoma palikti prie upelių apsaugos zonas, kad trąšos neitų tiesiai į mūsų upes, rengia protestus ir verčia ministrą, mat tai sumažina plotus, iš kurių gali sunkti žemės syvus ir naudą“, – mintis tęsė pokalbininkas.
Jis atsiuntė ir nuotrauką vietos, kurioje kažkada buvo upelis, bet melioracija pavertė jį kanalu, kad būtų daugiau ariamos žemės.
„Štai ir matom, kaip laikomasi sveiko proto diktuojamų taisyklių. Tie melioracijos kanalai yra bioįvairovės oazės. Jais keliauja įvairios gyvūnų rūšys, paukščiai šlaituose suka lizdus. Bet trąšos irgi jais laisvai keliauja iki Baltijos. Šis kanalas gi įteka į Miniją.
Jūs galvojate – reikia skambint, pranešt, baust? Tai galit skambinti, kas antrame lauke bus tokio pobūdžio pažeidimų. Mat neužsėtas metras – nuostolis. Kaip tik dirvoje trąša dabar neištirpusi. Lyja lietus ir gražiai tręšiami kanalai, o galų gale – Baltija.

Svarbu suarti visus natūralių pievų likučius ir lauką iki paskutinio centimetro, kad jų milijoninis biznis sukurtų eilinę biologinę dykumą, bet pridėtų keletą eurų į kišenę“, – tiesiai šviesiai išrėžė E.
